Island Vibes Nashville

We recently ordered from Island Vibes using the UberEats app when it became available for delivery to our house. We originally looked to see if there was a Jamaican Restaurant available and thought we would give this a try since we had been to Jamaica Way and Kool Runnings before. Having moved to Nashville from South Florida where Jamaican and West Indian food is abundant we typically are hard to impress. We were in for a treat. I ordered the Ox Tail that comes with Rice and Peas, Plantains and Cabbage. I was amazed at the size of the portions I received and the food was cooked and seasoned to perfection. I actually could not eat the entire plate and had a healthy portion left for lunch the following day. The Ox Tail was tender and falling off the bone while still being juicy and flavored well. The Rice and Peas were cooked perfect and not dry. The Plantains were hot and cooked well without being too sweet like you find at some places outside of south Florida. The cooked cabbage was seasoned well and good. The cost of my dinner plate through UberEats was $14.00 which is typical for and Ox Tail dinner in this area among other locations. My wife and son ordered the Jerk Chicken which also came with Rice and Peas, Plantains and Cabbage. Again, the portion size was much more than expected with plenty of chicken to make a satisfying dinner and a nice lunch entree the next day. I tasted the chicken and the spice was amazing, just the right amount of heat and extremely delicious. My wife said it was one of the best plates of Jerk Chicken she has eaten and that is saying a lot since we just left Fort Lauderdale two weeks ago and ate at Donna's Caribbean Restaurant on University in Lauderhill. We loved both of our meals and are looking forward to trying more of the menu items they have and dining in. Definitely an unexpected treat here in Nashville.

Best west indian food in Nashville hands down. The food is as good as the Jamaican restaurants in bedstuy brooklyn������������. I gnam food inah di place all da time!!!!!!
